We loved our stay at el Aleman. The room was spacious, Well appointed, comfortable and very clean. The setting beautiful and great place to relax. There is also restaurant onsite and we had lovely meal with plenty of choices. The highlight of our visit was the owner Perla who is the loveliest host we have ever come across! She made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to help, even getting up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before our trip to the mountains

You can find wonderful people, but you might not. Just see what people say about accommodation. When you find the right people its the best place to rest, to go trekking, to climb rocks, to see the sky, to have profound conversations, to try wines...

Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life.
Barreal is a simple village with a quiet life. You need to have a car to move around. Not to be missed the observatory for star gazing and the wind carts in Pampa de Leoncito with Familia Toro. Also, if you are a horse lover do look for Mr Carlos Villaroel. He has a great herd of horses that are used to go up in the Andes. He is an experienced and friendly guide with a family tradition of horsemanship. Alto Barreal by the main square (a little bit hidden but worth looking for it) is the place for "picadas" or assortment of cold cuts and cheese.
A stunning property straight from the pages of World of Interiors. A most authentic and sympathetic hotel interior. Wonderful furniture, artworks, and objects beautifully curated. A warm and genuine welcome from owners Alejandro and his wife. Gorgeous food. And a truly lovely room with a comfortable bed and stunning view. Thank you. Stay here if you can...
A lovely spot, with a tranquil garden and small swimming pool (it can get very hot in Barreal when I was there in January!) The only downside is it's a 2km walk to the nearest restaurant, but there is a nearby corner store and kitchen where you can cook, so it's ideal for someone staying a few days. (I was only there for one night).
