Quail Rest is located on Totara Peak Station which is a working High Country Station situated on the shores of Lake Benmore 22kms from Twizel township. Free WiFi and private parking is included. Everything, though about 10 minutes off the beaten path it didn’t matter once you got there. On the front porch you looked right at Mount Cook. The house itself was immaculate and the appointments were top notch. If you are staying for a few days do not miss this one.

We loved every bit of our stay! We ended being snowed in and they gratefully let us stay while the road got unblocked… our stay was magical and we would definitely love to come back! Situated in Twizel in the Canterbury region, GH Twizel Holiday Cottage has a garden. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The place is slightly away from the town centre but it is totally fine as we can see the sky right after we step out of the house. The house is also good enough to keep us warm. Teresa has been a very nice host to check us up during our stay.

Very clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The city of Twizel lost water due to a broken water main while we were there but we were kept aware of the progress made on the repairs.
