Surrounded by the Black River Natural Park and the mountains of Chamarel, Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge offers sweeping ocean views. The lodge is 6 km from La Goulette village. We enjoyed our private pool very much though it was freezing old to get in at first. It was an exceptional experience.

La Vieille Cheminée is situated on a 200-acre farm in Charamel and is surrounded by two rivers, indigenous trees and forest. It features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace and garden. I loved the concept of staying in a cabin on an eco farm and having the staff fill my fridge with prepared meals for me to heat when ready. It combined the best aspects of camping without having to worry about meal prep or sleeping on the ground. My bed was extremely comfortable and the AC kept my room at a reasonable temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed going for walks around the farm (tip: bring hiking boots) and taking late afternoon dips in the pool, which had stunning views. I requested vegetarian meals and they were always delicious (also the portions were huge -- I was able to save some leftover food from my dinners to eat for lunch on the following days). I took a farm tour with Sophie on my last morning and it was so interesting to learn about the different plants and animals that live on the farm. All of the staff were extremely helpful, but Sophie really went out of her way to make my stay perfect. I am already dreaming about coming back again someday!

Green Cottage Chamarel has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Chamarel, 15 km from Paradis Golf Club. The location in the hills above Chamarel is absolutely spectacular and the cottage could not be lovelier. It is beautifully appointed and outfitted with everything a guest could need, from hair dryers to all the kitchen basics you need to cook a meal. Raymond is a warm, thoughtful and very organized host and we very much appreciated his welcoming hospitality.

Located in Tamarin, 700 metres from Tamarin Beach and 1.1 km from Black River Beach, Holiday Surf Lodge offers air conditioning. The apartment is great, with terrace and everything you need. Different lights incide the house make it cosy. Host was very kind, reply quickly, always interested in my comfortable staying. Kitchen is full equipped, bed is soft, there are always internet and hot water. Thank you so much, it was pleasure to spend my time here!
