Each bungalow here features cozy wooden décor and comes equipped with a seating area, a kitchenette and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. They also have a private terrace overlooking the gardens.

The tree house accommodations were so beautiful and serene. There was a pond with a water fountain which made for great white noise to sleep to, along with the nature sounds of the jungle. The breakfast available for purchase was delicious - a big menu with something for everyone. The staff helped arrange a tour to the ATM cave, with transportation included. I would recommend Vanilla Hills Lodge if you're considering staying in the San Ignacio area! We had a rental care to get around the area which I recommend, but also met people who had all transportation coordinated by the lodge and they were also very pleased.

What a delightful stay we had. Close to town but far enough away for the quiet and privacy we craved. Christelle was a lovely host. Organized tours for us, excellent restaurant suggestions and very helpful. Accommodations are very well appointed and beautifully decorated. Private patio to view the river and wildlife. Highly recommend!

Loved this place. Stunning location. Great staff and guide. Menu a bit overpriced, other than that nothing to report/mention, other than that we had a fantastic time here.

Offering a restaurant and a private beach area, Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge is located in San Ignacio and is right next to the Botanic garden. Free WiFi access is available.

Each accommodation here will provide you with a patio. Featuring a shower, the private bathrooms also come with free toiletries. Extras include bed linen and a fan.

The property is stunning, nestled between the botanical gardens and the Macal River. The landscaping is gorgeous and the facilities were great. I stayed for 3 days and did not leave the resort. The all inclusive package makes it easy, the food was superb. Staff was wonderful. Laid back atmosphere yet felt high class. Massages were great. Rooms 1-3 will have wifi as they’re next to reception building. The new pool is amazing.

Featuring free WiFi, Table Rock Lodge offers accommodation in Cristo Rey. San Ignacio is 3.4 km away. Free private parking is available on site.

Some units include a balcony and/or patio.

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant or a drink at the on-site bar.

This property is immaculate - the attention to detail is unlike anything I have previously experienced. The staff all introduced themselves to us upon arrival and not once did they forget our names, our likes/dislikes in the restaurant or bar. It is private, quiet, surrounded by wildlife. The food is impeccable with lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Nothing was too much to ask - I cannot recommend this property more.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Lovely traditional cabin by a lake in a farm. Well equipped and comfortable, but very quiet- it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but you’ve got electricity, aircon and good WiFi if you need it . Lots of wildlife- birds, squirrels and , yes , crocodiles (who are no threat); plus- mountain nature trail on site .

The cabins were rustic with comfy beds. Extreemly hot water for showers. The view was amazing from our screened in porch. The restaurant served great food. Unfortunately we had cloudy weather so the pool was cool.

The huts are brand new, modern, clean and beautiful. They really are a pleasure to stay in and the place has beautiful views and a relaxing feel. Christelle was super helpful and friendly and a really lovely host. The family living on site (Manuel, his son and wife) were also super helpful and hospitable. The dogs running around were super friendly too!

Gaia River Lodge is a an interesting secluded hotel where you sleep in cabins that have no windows. Interesting experience (though most of our clothes were wet at all times due to humidity). The hotel has a beautiful view of the river and small waterfalls below. The hotel offers a tour to Caracol and our tour guide Ric was brilliant - he really knew Maya’s history and lore and we learned a lot.
