Only 150 metres from Ushuaia’s city centre, Antarctica Hostel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and private lockers. An American breakfast is provided and BBQ facilities are featured. One of my favorite hostels so far! The staff is sooo friendly and helpful,the breakfast is very good, there’s a lot of space to chill and socialise, the dorms are well equipped and the beds super cozy 🥰. The location is also perfect and the whole hostel exceptional clean.

Alem Casa de Familia ตั้งอยู่ในอูซัวยา และอยู่ห่างจากอ่าว Encerrada Bay ไม่เกิน 1.8 กม. Danny and Patty are wonderful hosts. They were very cheerful, warm and helpful, and I felt like I had family in Ushuaia. They were very helpful in giving advice on what to do in Ushuaia, and telling me about restaurants, places to go, and how to get there. I also ordered breakfast and dinner, and both were very delicious. The room and bathroom are always very clean and comfortable. It's on a hill a little away from the main street, but you can get there in about 5-10 minutes by taxi, and it's in a great location with a panoramic view of the city. I stayed for 3 nights, but I was so impressed by the wonderful home, the family, and the beautiful city that I wanted to stay longer. It's worth more than just a stay.

The atmosphere and people were exceptional! One night we had an ad-hoc, family-style BBQ during which Leo assisted us with the purchase and proper grilling techniques for the local Argentine meat. The hostel is a roughly 40-minute walk from the trailheads for a couple highly recommended day hikes as well. While the location is outside of the tourist center, you can catch the colectivos for free into town or take an Uber for around 2.000 pesos. Overall, it was a warm and familial environment with guests from many countries alongside Argentineans where you can comfortably cook yourself a nice meal and share a drink with other guests.
