Boasting a shared lounge and views of quiet street, The Mansion on 17th, formerly Schaefer Haus is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Galveston, 1.6 km from Seawall Urban Park. This is the most wonderful property - steeped in history and oh-so-comfortable and luxurious. Rick (owner) and Tammy (host) were so welcoming and friendly. Tammy made us wonderful (complimentary) afternoon cocktails and Rick made us exceptionally delicious breakfasts (his French toast is the best I’ve ever tasted). The house is in a neighbourhood of gorgeous historic mansions, each a story in themselves. We cannot recommend Schaefer Haus enough.

Our family has gotten too big to stay at one house for Christmas, so the oldest generation stayed at this B&B. This was a perfect place! All the kindness, great food, decorations, and holiday spirit that Kim and Michael showed us was exactly what I wanted and hoped for in a B&B at Christmas. The two separate rooms and bathrooms made it very confortable for my family. Beside, the kitchen was big for us to eat everyday

Casino Casita is situated in Eagle Pass and offers free bikes and barbecue facilities. Boasting a housekeeping service, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. This Casita had everything necessary for a more than comfortable stay. I was highly impressed with the cleanliness of the entire house. Private parking and elevated backyard view of the city was a plus. It's obvious this host wants you to have a stress free stay. Another plus was the location of the Casino, it was about 4 miles away. JACKPOT location and I will definitely be back!
