The property is extremely charming and so lovely; it is like stepping back in time. It is a wonderful place to take a break after the hustle and bustle of NYC. We stayed in the cottage and were very happy with the amenities within it. Breakfast is amazing; John is so cheerful and friendly and his food is incredible! Great start to our days. The kitchen is also open to guests so we were able to get drinks and snacks even after hours. That is a great convenience to us as well. I would highly recommend 1708 to anyone visiting Southampton for the first time.

I have never stayed in premises as good as this. Everything about it was excellent very large and well fitted out bedroom - very good breakfast - host so helpful in every way. Breakfast with other guests or one separate table. Other guests very entertaining and informative. Each bedroom themed to former president with information on them and books on local history. For what you get the price is incredible. If in this area again would definitely stay here even if I had to change my dates.

Very picturesque cabin and location overall. The hosts are extremely responsive. We had a small issue with the wifi, and they fixed it for us right away. We would definitely come back here again.
