The rooms were lovely, bright, clean and with a special touch in decorating. Even though it is by the moderatly busy road you hear nothing if you close the windows. The bathrooms are shared but it is not a problem because there are enough of them. We loved the breakfast. Best (homemade) jams of my life. The owners are very friendly and nice.

First of all the staff was extremely kind and polite, they do the atmost to let you feel welcome. Everyone with a smile! The Hotel is beautifully furnished, very stylish. Everything is spotless clean and well taken care of. We can recommend the Hotel to everyone who is searching for great time off in the Alentejo.

Set in Ferreira do Alentejo, in a historic building, 48 km from Flour Museum, SOLAR DOS FRADES is a recently renovated guest house with an outdoor swimming pool and spa and wellness centre. Was very positively impressed with Solar dos Frades. The room was wonderful modern and spacious, as was the bathroom. Inês the host was extremely helpful and available at any time, other staff also very nice. The outside pool and jacuzzi space is amazing, just sorry I hadnt more time to stay.

I was travelling solo and always felt safe and Heather and Maria were outstanding hosts, even packed me a lunch for my drive to the airport!
