There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Fjola and Jon were outstanding hosts. Our apartment on their farm was a haven for our stay near Borgarnes. Views of the surrounding fields were great, and such a nice change from city hotels. The apartment had everything we needed, including a filter coffee maker. The weather turned overnight, and roads were closed the next morning. Fjola kindly informed us of this and offered that we could stay longer, which was very generous.

We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

The property has an outdoor dining area. Maybe the best private house we stayed in Iceland! Wooden, warm and cosy with a hot tub outside! Very clean and comfortable! We stayed (one couple) for one night only and we wished that we stayed more! Extra bonus: the Northern Lights appeared while we were taking our bath in the hot tub outside!! Many thanks for the whole experience! Should be one of the first options to stay in Iceland!

And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.
