Situated in Portela in the Fogo region, Pensão Repouso Alegre Turismo e Aventura features a garden. The property has inner courtyard and quiet street views. Exceptional! Such an amazing place and hosts. Jose and Socorro have been amazing with us all around. Jose built the place himself out of lava rock. Don't expect luxury and you won't be disappointed, you're on a volcano after all. They guided us to the top of the volcano and back, accompanied us around the area and drove us back to Sao Felipe on a sunday, when no collectivos are running. A magic place, super energetic and positive hosts, great cooks and helpful hosts.

Located in Portela in the Fogo region, Casa helena has a balcony. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The guest house features family rooms. The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Ciza e Rose in Portela features a garden and a shared lounge. The property has mountain and city views. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

Located in Chã das Caldeiras, casa alcindo offers a bar. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Guests can enjoy mountain views. Very nice people, helped us organized trip to the volcano. Special thanks to Leiticia and her family for making our stay very wonderful

Pensao Zé Doce is situated in Portela and offers a garden and a bar. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. We took room with bathroom and shower. Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

Pipi's Guest House, featuring a garden, a terrace and a bar, is located in São Filipe, 2.4 km from Sao Filipe Beach. At the bed and breakfast, every unit comes with a wardrobe. This was exactly what I needed a tranquil, beautiful tropical paradise getaway just far enough from the city to enjoy a peaceful day and night but close enough to everything. The airport is right there so perfect place to get your rest during your Cabo Verde getaway. Pipi and her family are a true blessing and are the best hosts I've encountered in a long time. As a frequent traveler I cannot say enough about how great this place was. Pool was the perfect size to cool off. The food was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. The room was spacious and super clean. Comfy bed, large shower (hot water). I could go on and on but words aren't enough. Go there check it out for yourself you will not regret it.

Casa Ze & sonia is situated in Portela. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a minimarket, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

EcoFunco is situated in Portela. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk and parking on-site. At the bed and breakfast, every unit is fitted with a wardrobe. Lovely place. Great communication before and during stay. Great breakfast even very early. We recommend dinner at Isabel.

Situated in Igreja in the Fogo region, Gira Lua has a terrace and sea views. With mountain views, this accommodation features a balcony. Yulia was an incredible host. We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

Set in São Filipe, Tortuga B&B offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Sao Filipe Beach and provides various facilities, such as a garden, a terrace and a bar. Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
