Beautiful traditional Newari house, friendly and helpful hosts, always with smile. Shila’s food was excellent. The house is in a prime location, 2 minutes away from Patan Durbar Square but quiet , easy to go anywhere. There are 2 beautiful temples in front of the house, I found a sacred feeling around the area. Nepali people say friendly monkeys come mean you have luck , so I got luck on the last day that 3 monkeys visited me ! Patan Ghar provided high quality toilet paper, it’s a bonus compared other places even hotels in Nepal.

Also you can feel the love that she puts in the food and tea. Taking care of guests and being a kind person seems to be in her nature. Her presence actually creates the experience. Her stories also made that I could understand Patan’s, Newari’s and Nepalese culture better. This felt valuable. It’s an enriching experience. The location of Sanu’s House is ideal to visit Patan. Everything is on walking distance, and very close to the most authentic places. You can start up your day at the guest house with fresh breakfast, and if you like you can also eat other meals here. I would definitely recommend staying at this heartwarming guest house.

Temple right out side your window which was beautiful, though the bells are quite loud especially in the morning. The host was lovely. Very helpful having a washing machine. Though they need a new washing line as the one there is broken. Overall lovely place to stay short term!
