The two brothers who run this ola r take you in like family. We arrived late and we’re given a beautiful late dinner to eat, and then hit some excellent advice about how to access Petra through the Backdoor, which I highly recommend (and you have a moderate level of fitness). There are some nice spots to sit it - there’s a rooftop tent and a nice little table in the hallway from which to watch the sunset. I was happy to be away from the hubbub of Wadi Rum, and the drive in isn’t that far to go in if you want a city vibe and to access Petra site.

My family (2 adults, 4 y/o and 1y/o) enjoyed our stay here very much. The room was basic but very comfortable, we all slept so well. The shower was great, plenty of hot water but also cold for those in my family who enjoy that. The restaurant downstairs was the best of any that we tried in the area, to the point that we regretted trying others. The location was perfect for visiting Petra, almost as close as you could get.

Lovely homelike place. Freshly renovated with great decor. Kind and helpful owner. Highly recommend. It’s a 20 min walk downhill to Petra so well located. We walked back up the hill but can also get a taxi for ~3JD to get you back if you want.

very nice comfortable hotel with nice facilities. A 5 minute drive from Petra Visitor Centre. I was invited to dinner after the day of fasting during Ramadan. I was giver a lovely packed breakfast when I wanted to leave early for the sunrise at Petra. swig is a really nice, helpful host. Excellent value for money.
