We had a most enjoyable stay at B&B Poggiolo. Andrea and Valeria are wonderful and helpful hosts. Our suite is spacious, with a fabulous view of Lake Maggiore and the islands. The rooms are tastefully furnished; the bathroom is modern; everything is spotless. We slept very well at night as the house and surrounding area were completely quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was set up in a nice room downstairs, and the spread was lovely every morning. For dinner, there’s a highly rated restaurant within walking distance. One could also take a short drive to nearby towns or to Stresa. We had a rental electric car and used a charging station 12-minutes away on the route to A26. We went to the islands, of course, and drove around Lake Maggiore, stopping at a few towns. The whole area is beautiful.

The units at the bed and breakfast include air conditioning and a desk. This boutique hotel is quite unique and one of the best accommodations we have ever experienced. The house is somewhat secluded and hidden, but once you get there, all the facilities and services are absolutely fantastic. The room we were in was large, 40 m2 with a terrace and a view over the valley and down to the lake. The bathroom was elegant with a large bathtub and good facilities. The house is very beautiful and well renovated and has only rooms for 4 couples. The couple Fabío and Chiovanna who own and run the place are truly exceptional hosts, they prepare breakfast themselves from ingredients from the region and we chose to have dinner on site prepared by the hosts the 2 nights we stayed there which we can definitely recommend.
