Located in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Cumbria region, The White House is a 5-star property featuring free WiFi. The property suggested a nearby car park, which we were able to find easily (though the pay machines were a bit dodgy with international credit cards) and it was only a short stroll to the house. Instructions to get in were fairly strait forward. The rooms were as described - a good sized queen and separate single with adjoining bathroom. I'm sad I didn't get to try out the awesome bath but the double shower was great! The location is excellent, with a short stroll to many eateries and the main shops etc. Mini bar fridge was appreciated.

Situated in Cockermouth, 18 km from Buttermere and 22 km from Derwentwater, Tithe Barn - Self Check In Hotel features accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. The hotel was very clean and stylish and in a great location. The self-check was very good. The breakfast was excellent and complete

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. It's beautiful homely cosy and warm. Ian the owner was very welcoming and friendly

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. This was one of our favorite stops on our recent trip. We all agreed, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the rest of the amenities were great. Elliott was a great host - giving us some advice about our next stop. Breakfast was delicious. With a pub within walking distance we couldn't ask for a better location.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Easy to find, car park, great breakfast.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful room, spotlessly clean. The only place we have stayed which was better in reality than the advertising photos. Attention to detail was excellent, down to the herbal tea selection in the room.

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. Svært komfortabelt rom med alt en trenger. Kjempegod seng. Fin utsikt. Badet var stort og godt trykk i dusjen. Super frokost! Veldig hyggelig vertskap. Ligger ca 5 minutt fra jernbanestasjonen i Windermere. Ca 20 min å gå til Bowness, og i tillegg gode bussforbindelser til områdene rundt. Fikk tilsendt info på forhånd om turer og restauranter. Veldig hyggelig opphold! Anbefales på det varmeste.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Location excellent, beautiful house, comfortable bed and super pillows. Amazing quality breakfast. Great friendly, highly efficient staff. Would definitely return. Many thanks to the staff and owner.

Craig Walk Suite is set in Bowness-on-Windermere, 38 km from Derwentwater, 43 km from Askham Hall, as well as 50 km from Trough of Bowland. This property is absolutely beautiful you can tell a lot of hard work and money has gone in to it

The Old Rectory features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Coniston, 18 km from Lake Windermere. Michael and Ann where the perfect hosts . Nothing was too much trouble and would meet your every need. Anne even had a birthday cake for my wife's birthday! Michael even let me try his favourite gin at breakfast! A lovely quiet calm to the house as a whole with a large bright dining room used for breakfast with wonderful view.
