We stayed four nights at Maison Loire and we fell in love with it. It is a unique accommodation, a little gem right in the heart of Blois city. The house itself is wonderfully located with views overlooking the Loire river, beautifully decorated with a very good selection of antique furniture and objects, you can instantly see the good taste of the owners. Nicholas was simply amazing as a host, every morning he offered for breakfast a great selection of pastries, local cheeses, natural yogurt, fruits from his neighbours and delicious coffee. We enjoyed eating at the same table with the other guests, we found the experience rare and interesting. Also the little terrace party was a great idea, we got to socialise with the other guests of different nationalities, exchanging opinions and ideas with them was indeed valuable to us, you don't get to do this in other places. Nicholas willingness to park his car on the street just to accommodate our trailer and two motorcycles in his garage was truly a special touch of hospitality. I cannot put an end to this review without mentioning how lovely Siddhartha (the dog) is, so well behaved and cute, we adored him. So, if you want to visit Blois in style just book Maison Loire!

The Hotel is really unique. We had the "Art-Deco" room with art-deco antiques throughout the room. The room had excellent cross-ventilation and you looked directly at the Chateau's plaza. the suggested parking was only a few steps away. the location is right near the tourist office so you know that the essential sights are right around the hotel. Claire, the owner is a gem, truly gives a breakfast for 10 euros that can't be beat. She looks after everything at her hotel from greeting to preparing the breakfast to check-out. Claire, is a great, hard-working, owner. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hospitality of our host and accommodations were outstanding!! The décor was charming and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious with a wonderful view of the city from the bedroom. The breakfast was superb and we enjoyed learning the history of the building and furniture. We were a group of four. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic breakfast, strong coffee! The hosts have a lot of visitor information and history of Blois and the surrounding areas. As most euro stays there is stairs to climb, no big deal. The location is great, a five minute walk downtown. Hosts installed air condition for the recent hot spell, worked great.
