The room was very spacious with a lovely view of their gardens. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed leaving the window open and hearing the frogs at night and the birds in the morning. Silentium really lives up to its name. It is located in glorious bucolic surroundings. It was very quiet and peaceful and we thought that the tranquillity and calmness of the house helped to create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. We were especially appreciative of the air conditioning in the room given that the weather was unseasonably hot. We liked the large and luxurious shower and found the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent; varied, delicious and with superb coffee and tea. We were offered kind and welcoming hospitality, and particularly appreciated the suggestions about local places to visit on our bikes as we wanted to take advantage of the excellent cycling in the area.
