This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

Dispondo de jardim e vista da montanha, a Amankaya Atitlan é uma pousada recentemente renovada, localizada em Cerro de Oro, a 18 km do Vulcão Atitlan. Great place on the lake, with beautiful sunsets and nice amenities. The host, Fernando, is extremely friendly and helpful any time we needed. He even got up to help us get a boat at 6am! We very highly recommend staying in this peaceful house across the lake!

Clemens was a great host and assisted in arranging private lanchas for arrival and departure. The kitchen facilities are nice to have and it is good to follow the suggestion to buy groceries in Panajachel before coming to the house. It is a very private location. Especially enjoyed the hammock and watching sunrises and sunsets from the porch.
