Excellent food and serene place to cut off from the world for a bit... Living with nature in the midst of an ocean is something else.... Adventure seekers... We had the best time in CornerCatBa. The host family couldn’t be any kinder. Thanh helped us to book Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay tour, transfers from/to Hanoi and Ninh Binh, did the laundry for us, recommended restaurants and cafes and cooked delicious breakfasts. She also helped to arrange a taxi for us to take us to Cat Ba National Park and even prepared bahn mi, snacks and water for us for free. The location of the accommodation was also great away from all the noise of Cat Ba Town with a beautiful view of the lake. We felt very special to experience Vietnamese hospitality and authentic experience. Thanh (our host) was so generous and kind, we felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived. If you want to experience true Vietnamese hospitality, look no further.

I can't recommend this place enough. The rooms are pretty affordable for how spacious and clean they were. The owners are very sweet and genuine. He helped me a lot to organise my trip and was very attentive to my needs. Very good experience!

This homestay is a great option in Cat ba. Great location in town, but at the end of an alley so the only noise came from the animals outside. The water pressure in the spacious shower was the best I have had in Vietnam. You will be well cared for during your stay. If you need help booking transportation or tours, just ask. If you need breakfast or any drinks, you can get it prepared for you. Great communication from when I booked to when the bus picked me up for Nihn Bihn.

EVERYTHING. The bedroom was lovely. The bathroom was so clean and laid out perfectly. The breakfast was excellent with locally sourced foods. We ordered the egg coffee and a dinner. Both were so tasty. Our host assisted us with a taxi to take us sightseeing. We would highly recommend AN Homestay to anyone interested in Cat Ba food, culture and would like to be spoiled!

The host, Hung, seems a bit rough at the beginning but he is actually extremely nice and fun when you manage to steal a smile from him! He and his wife were very helpful and kind, and they make the hotel feel a very cozy, family environment. The room and the whole place was spotless clean and in an area that we totally loved: calm, green and at the foot of the mountain. The hotel is, indeed, slightly off the main street in the bay (only 10 mins walking) but we loved it that way and would go back there. Breakfast is very simple (tea/coffee and a sandwich with an omelette and tomatoes), but for what you pay it is already incredible. Hung can also help you with tours, bus tickets and motorbike rental.
