A short distance from breathtaking waterfalls and within driving distance of Hawaii National Volcanoes Park, SCP Hilo Hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a swimming pool. Every single staff member was so nice and helpful. Free paddle boards, bikes, filtered water, coffee, tea. Swimming pool wasn’t too busy, great place to relax. We were lucky to have stayed in a room with a balcony, where we spent most evenings.

Arnott’s Lodge is nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Hilo, just steps away from the ocean. We were on a budget which is difficult in Hawaii but this property helped us sleep five comfortably. Very friendly staff at check in. Accommodations were modest but so is the price so that’s ok.

Offering free WiFi in public spaces, Hilo Reeds Bay Hotel is set in Hilo. Free private parking is available on site. The property is located in a 3-story building with rooms only accessible via... The facility was the best ‘value for money’ in the area. The free local buses meant we could go anywhere. No restaurant in this hotel but that was okay as we went elsewhere, no problem. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone else travelling on a budget.

Situated on the coastline of Hilo Bay, the Grand Naniloa Hilo, a DoubleTree by Hilton is 48 km from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. All rooms have free WiFi. Exelent view of the ocean and the fireworks for the 4th of July! Big, confortable room.

The hotel is situated almost within Liliuokalani Gardens, which was rated as the most scenic picnic spot on the Big Island by Lonely Planet. Tree frogs sang in the evenings in March and created a summer feel. Ample and free parking on the premise. The steak restaurant has bay views, too, and served large portions.
