When looking for a genuine, immersive and take it is experience Kitu Kiblu is a great choice to take. We spent a wonderful week there and are enthusiastic of all facilities and people; everything is exactly as described in the profile. Accomodations could be choosene to be more discreet (on the trees) or more common and we strongly suggest the second option; apart from an incredible quality/price ratio the whole experience deserves to be done! We appreciated so much to have shower in the jungle surronded by palm leafs and accept a rope is the door for the toilet (yes, it's true and frankly speaking all is priceless!!!!). All the description look a bit as only for brave and indeed this "return to the basic" is exaclty what I think it should be experienced to understand we don't need that much to feel happy, just go back to the essential and appreciate!!! People have been very friendly and inclusive and did their best to let us feel welcomed and help for local activities.

The staff were delightful, kind, friendly and always helpful. The accommodation was excellent for my daughter and I. We could not have been happier. Any query we had, or the adaptability of our meals were all catered for with such grace.

Mgeni Homestay was the best value accomodation that we've stayed in during our African travels. While the building itself is basic the rooms have everything you need: comfortable bed and pillows, mosquito net, ceiling fan, somewhere to sit that isn't the bed and places to hang your drying towels (and clothes if you've done some handwashing). Aly was also very helpful at organising excursions and taxis for us, while Bunda cooked fresh, delicious and generous meals (including a good amount of vegetables, which can be hard to come by). The homestay is close enough to the airport that you can walk there if you have packs (not ok for wheelie suitcases) and don't mind a hot walk. The ATMs are also a short walk further than the airport so they are also accessible. We appreciated our stay so much that we returned for second stay before leaving the island.

The staff are great, making sure we had the best time there. They helped organise trips out around the island putting us at ease. The rooms are spacious with WiFi and air con. The food was good too.

The staff was magnificent, kind, and attentive. The facilities are new and beautiful. The pool was perfect to relax in and cool off. The location is centrally located, we even walked to and from the airport. They called for transportation to scuba diving and whale shark tours. The food was excellent and plentiful. We ate all our meals there for 6 days. And the staff was wonderful. All 5 of us in our group, after a month of traveling, highly recommend Mafia Dream

Kilindonis asuv majutusasutus on 7,2 km kaugusel Rufiji Mafia Kilwa merekaitsealast. Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge pakub majutust koos aia, tasuta privaatse parkimise, terrassi ja restoraniga. Beautiful bungalows with a huge garden directly in front of the beach. All the bungalows have a big glass front where you can see the garden and at some locations the beach. Incredibly nice staff - try to help and accommodate wherever they can. Could change the room without problems as I needed AC to be able to sleep (March can be incredibly hot and humid). Even came back to the hotel after diving on the other side of the island. Everything seems a bit rustic as first but you will definitely fall in love with it. There is a really really nice gift shop with handicrafts on site - really nice woman from the village, definitely one to support. The locations to the beach is super close and to the left there are two more hotels you can go for dinner or a drink. People all know each other on Mafia and help you with everything! :) Breakfast is great!
