The apartment is part of a century old monastery surrounded by mediterranean scrub. It is very relaxing and cosy. The apartment is simple but clean and efficient. The plus we weren't expecting is that, separate from the apartment, the host run a small family run "home resturant". There are four tables in the middle of the garden where you can have proper Sardinian dinner with the best roast sukling pig we have ever had.

No air con. No tv. You pay extra for real fruit juice. Extra for breakfast things like soft eggs. Mean with towels. Limited pool hours. No bathroom toiletries for “eco” reasons but plastic water cups wrapped plastic bags! We stayed in 2 other hotels in Sardinia and paid a quarter the price for a much much better experience.

Very special sea village built during the Fascist period...
Very special sea village built during the Fascist period (have a look at the architecture of the school) and populated by Istrian exiles after world war II. Close to the airport and Alghero. Good restaurants and beautiful sea. Peaceful. If you want to visit the area it's better to rent a car.

Not very much happening here but it was right for us as we wanted a quiet holiday. Restaurant Il Paguro was a surprise in terms of fish dishes, definitely would have chosen it to the punta negra hotel restaurant where the service was rushed for nothing, late and unpleasant and the spaghetti arrived in clumps (horror).. There is a small supermarket and the bus station is very handy to reach alghero (the tabacchi does not sell tickets so you either go to a small room-transformed-in-shop place to buy the tickets or you download the dropticket up and do it from there (very handy)

the beachs and the food are amazing, the quality of the service nice and friendly. People do not speak well english, so it was a bit hard to comunicate, however I speak spanish so I found a way to get along with it.
