Directly connected to Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal, Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport offers high-quality hotel accommodations, and a restaurant, bar and fitness entre. After a day of traveling and cramped seats on the plane it was such a delight to get to the Hampton. This was my first stay with them, but will not be my last, I loved the whole experience. The reception staff when I arrived at 1:30 am were welcoming and efficient, I spent longer on the shuttle between terminals than I did checking in. The size of the room was better than I expected, The pictures online didn't do it justice. It was quiet, even though you could see the airport from our room, and I slept like a log. The breakfast was great, the dining room was kept clean and tidy, and everything was filled or refilled even 10 minutes before the end of service. I can't fault a thing, it was a joy and the perfect end to the holiday.

Nice small local shopping area with good parking, a pub and lots of people hanging out on a Friday evening. There's takeaway pizza, kebabs, fish and chips and Chinese all on a row. There's also at least three convenience stores a green grocer and a post office.
Manchester was my Favorite place, i eat mostly breakfast at the hotel, it was ok getting around Horly as my stay there was not long, my next visit is avoid going to the all season guess house in Gatwick,
Convenient for one night for an early flight next day. Host ought to heat the place when people are arriving. Due to motorway accident we didn’t get there until 10.30pm and it was freezing cold. Not at all welcoming. Also nothing there to even make a hot cuppa, considering most people stay just a night to get a flight next day, you arent really going to be taking milk with you are you. Bed was comfortable, however as it was so ice cold, it was freezing and obviously we were keen to sleep after an arduous journey and a 3.30am wake up next day. So went to bed in T-shirt leggings and socks! Curtains would also make it more homely and warm (just my opinion) would only stay again if it was warmer months. Just a bit of consideration and thought by the hosts would go a long way.
They advertised the hotel as being 3 miles outside Gatwick Airport - It was more like 30 miles! Not easy to get around as there is no facilities in the immediate area i.e. restaurants/bars. Bar closed early 10.30p.m. although advertised as closing at 11 p.m. even when people were still asking for drinks.
Owner is clearly not right in the head. Tipped pure household bleach into hot tub and swimming pool which were frothing from the bleach. Dog excrement was around lawn area from owners own dog and was there the whole time we were staying there!! Police called and arrived numerous times over our 3 night stay due to unruly occupants who were threatening other occupiers and owner was oblivious to it all as off her head on drugs and alcohol. Numerous times woken at early hours of morning by other residents. Was told it was a "one off" but apparently not the case as this went on for whole 3 nights!!! We were just too tired to leave plus had already booked to go sightseeing in London on the Sunday and no doubt everywhere booked up asa Bank Holiday so no choice but to stay or loose more money from leaving. Police in end on early hours Bank Holiday Monday gave owner a caution for breach of the peace and would be arrested if she continued! Says another about the place if that's the owner getting that! Avoid this place at all costs what seems nice at first isn't always as it makes out!!!
Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced. Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere. People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!) Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!
