Located in Barcaldine, Landsborough Lodge Motel features a bar. There is a year-round outdoor pool and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Great pit stop on our travels full of friendly country charm, and tasty homestyle meals! Comfortable rooms and great AC. We'd stayed the week before on our way up to Cairns for Christmas, great place to stay with our 2 dogs, Shannon at reception gave us phenomenal service, friendly and personable. Unfortunately we had to leave our old girl up in Cairns, Shannon showed great care and compassion through a tough time. Absolutely recommend staying if you have pets travelling with you, when they say they are pet friendly they mean it.Thanks guys for a great stay, you have a lovely establishment and we can't wait to come back!

Featuring free WiFi and an outdoor pool, Barcaldine Country Motor Inn offers accommodation in Barcaldine. I stayed at the Barcaldine Country Motor Inn after a trip out in the bush. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, comfort and service of this motel. The room was spacious, well-equipped and had a nice view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful in particular the young man at the pool. The motel also has a pool and a restaurant next door which were great. The location is convenient and I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for an over-night quality stay in Barcaldine. It was a great value for money and a pleasant experience. Thank you Barcaldine Country Motor Inn for making my trip easier and more enjoyable!
A small town with lots of things in the surrounding area. I was driving through from Darwin so I didn’t have time to stop and look around but it’s on the route for the gem fields and the dinosaur trail.
Plan to eat at the restaurant at the Motor Inn. Plan for a picnic along the river. Plan to stay in Barcaldine and not in Longreach. Longreach is way over-priced and you could leave for Longreach - do your 2 tours and come back to Barcaldine. Seriously good place to visit.
Barcaldine has lots of great eats for a small country town. My son & I had a little walk through town which we enjoyed and went to the park. A nice little stop. Would come back for another visit as I stayed here for the better in blackhall festival.
Great place to stay after 11 hrs on the road! Very welcoming, pleasantly surprised by size of room! Ordered room service… my main came.. I thought they had forgotten dessert…. But I was told it would come a little later so my Icecream wouldn’t melt! Loved the thoughtfulness! Room and furnishings on the older side but beautifully clean, bright and spacious! Well done guys!
There is a lot of history in Barcaldine regarding the formation of the then Labour Party, the first political party in Australia. It is well told, from the free detailed information boards surrounding the famous Tree of Knowledge to the workers Heritage Centre. Easy to access everything, no parking problems, lots of pubs, some open, some not, (if you are interested).
Locals not exactly friendly, tourist seem to be viewed as outsiders (must admit only interacted with 3 or 4 shops in the area, but we appeared to be a hindrance they wanted out of their shop). Our motel staff were excellent, friendly and helpful cannot speak highly enough.
