Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOne of the two (very good) coffee machines was out of operation for the entire breakfast service. This led to long queues at the one functioning machine, and a lot of guest disgruntlement. What would the hotel have done if both machines had been out of action? My experience with hotels of this size is for three or more coffee machines to be available so that when one machine is out of order, or out of water, or out of coffee, the remaining two machines are able to cope with demand. Similarly, one functioning lift, with a maximum capacity of four (without luggage?) is patently insufficient for a hotel of this size. A consequence of this inadequacy is that the stairs are heavily used to get guests to breakfast or check-out, and that many people are waiting outside the lift on each floor hoping for a lift. Which brings me onto two safety issues. The first is that there is a gap between the carpet and stair on at least two floors is wide. A simple solution is to use thresholds or runners to prevent guests having a horrible accident tripping/falling in the stairwell. Secondly, I had a horrible experience crashing to the ground after walking into the glass wall that separates the indoor and outdoor breakfast areas, breaking my glasses frames in the process and suffering pain for a number of days. When reported, the receptionist dealt with the matter very well. Clearly, though, similar incidents had happened with the extensive glass areas at the hotel entrance. Glass manifestation - or, more simply, stickers on glass - are a common, easy way to prevent such injuries. Finally, as noted elsewhere, the area around the hotel has social issues and guests need to be vigilant. There are a handful of other hotels in the area, but little in the way of restaurants or cafes that serve full meals.
This hotel proved to be a very good choice for an overnight stay after four international flights. It is within short walking distance from Omonoia metro station which, in turn, is easily accessible from the international airport. Check-in was very friendly and professional. The room was comfortable in all respects, including a generous balcony with outdoor furniture. Excellent wifi, and I slept very well. The range of items at the buffet breakfast was wider than subsequent stays at Greek hotels, though this partly reflects the higher tariff at this hotel.

LatviaBreakfast could have more fruit choices. Actually, I don't have much more to add.
Breakfast is good, enough choice. Good attitude from the staff. You can easily reach all the main attractions of Athens by foot. Excellent comfort in the room.

AustraliaThe beakfast was really good but if you had a toaster it would have been amazing. The lifts didn’t respond well took ages to come then would change direction without instruction. We got stuck briefly between floors. They weren’t very responsive.
The rooms were modern and clean. Bed were very comfortable. It was close to everything. Felt safe there.

NorwayWe departed really early in the morning, it would have been nice to have the option for an early breakfast.
The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so lovely and helpful. Really short distance to public transport and a walking distance to all the biggest attractions. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this hotel at a later convenience. They got us a bottle of wine upon arrival. We were there on our honeymoon. That was really much appreciated. Over all we had a wonderful stay.

United KingdomI would comment that the room size was fine for one person, maybe a little tight for two. Wash handbasin was very small with the potential to be 'messy.' The lift is an odd shape and perhaps a little claustrophobic for some. The surrounding area off Omonia Square is, to put it politely, not one of the most 'chic' in Athens. None of these are reasons NOT to stay in the hotel.
The hotel is a beacon of dazzling white light and chrome, very clean, excellent breakfast buffet and excellent value. Staff, are mostly very friendly and polite. The room was very clean, fresh white linen and towels, well equipped with amenities. It is difficult to find fault, there are a couple of points which I shall mention below. Despite these minor opinions, it is fair to say it is an excellent hotel. Thank you.
