The breakfasts were delicious, and we ate out at four different places, but their dinner was the best. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, especially the huge beds (bigger than a king size). It was excellent value for money.

We went for a family wedding and most of the wedding party stayed in Fordoun's various accommodations (the self catering, the hotel rooms and the extra special rooms 19 - 23). The setting is very special - converted stone farm sheds, several dams, huge trees that actually do autumn. Staff were incredibly friendly and flexible eg staying up after 11 to give us hot chocolate in front of the fire. As a wedding venue it is ideal - we had a serious cricket match at the proper pitch in front of the reception hall, a great way to bring a large group together the day before the wedding. The chapel had views onto the mountains. A very lovely space to walk around day or night.
