El Pousada Santa Marinha es troba en un convent agustí del segle XII i ofereix vista sobre Guimarães. I felt like royalty spending time in my own castle! The staff was wonderful, went out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. When I asked if there were books available in English, the manager went out of his way to take me to a bookcase and pointed out a few books he had particularly enjoyed. Being an avid reader, I found this charming! I enjoyed the comfortable bar and lobby area and had a very good hamburger there.

La verdad es que tras estar en guimaraes, ponte de lima y valença do minho, no sorprende, un pueblecico más, no encontramos restaurante que sorprendiera, los crepes de la feria sosos, ni monumento específico. Cabe decir que no subimos al castillo, tal vez valga la pena.

Superb location, newly renovated, all mod-cons plus spa access, a good restaurant and an excellent breakfast! JUST GREAT! We came here after trying to access the nearby chalet, Teixeira Home, where the cobble-stone access was so slippery and steep that our car didn't make it there. Despite the fact, that booking and the owner did not wave the cancellation fee (!), we are feeling blessed that we found Aguas do Geres. Located right in the middle of a charming resort town, with other good restaurants around, and amazing nature at our doorstep. A pleasure even in the continuous rain we experienced. We will be back, I hope.

What an excellent and upmarket hotel on the riverfront of Caminha but very affordable and good value for money. Hotel has excellent amenities with well appointed and comfortable spacious neat and clean rooms - spectacular common areas, very friendly and helpful staff. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, relaxed, staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s in the middle of nature, with beautiful views everywhere. I’ve seen some comments on the steep climbing, but that’s just part of the great surroundings. Food was excellent and plenty of options.
