Located in Ervedosa do Douro, 29 km from Douro Museum, Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The location of Quinta Ventozelo is truly outstanding. We loved our room ( 20) a superior double with private terrace and therefore the most wonderful view of the river below. Having been on a full on sightseeing trip , Ventozelo was perfect for a couple of days of chill time in beautiful suffoundings. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful wanting to ensure our stay was just perfect. Our meals accompanied with the vineyard’s wines were wonderful.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Great space to chill and relax: pool, bar area, restaurant with great local food and wine. Super friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, we have been travelling in Portugal for a bit and this was by far the best we had. There were lots of healthy options, including vegetables (which we really appreciate), but of course the typical pancakes, breads and such were available too.

The stay was absolutely stunning. The small quinta had a private entrance on a small vineyard. The team reaches out a couple days before your stay to give instructions on how to enter. We parked the car and were already blown away by the view. Its located on the side of the hill, which be ready for a steep drive up the hill! Nothing we weren't use to after driving around all of Portugal, but having a small car is key in the country to less headaches! Anyways, we got in and all the rooms have a gorgeous view of the valley. There is a pool onsite that was too cold for us to try but looked refreshing for those hot days. The room had these massive windows you could open or just leave the blinds open for the view or shut for darkness while you sleep. You are allowed to walk the small vineyard which was quaint. Breakfast was prepared and it was delicious. They have the largest persimmons I've ever seen. The staff was very kind and attentive. Water is always available and they offer wine to purchase. I did not want to leave. The stay was wonderful. Also note that much of the staff only speaks Portuguese. We made it work with my limited vocabulary, so knowing some Portuguese will help a lot, or inform them of this so they can have a staff member who is bilingual be ready to help.

Cidalia and her son were outstanding, warm hosts, and showed real care towards me and my friend. It didn’t feel like we’re staying in a hotel, as much as going to visit close family. They went above and beyond to meet our requests, and have a wealth of knowledge about the region, history and gave us very detailed and practical recommendations. The views from the room were gorgeous, overlooking the river and rolling hills of vineyards. In the morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast- the son represented Portugal in competition for young chefs. It’s a feast for senses.
