Staff are so nice at this hotel, during our stay they helped us with our bags and are always friendly. Happy to provide extra toiletries and coffee when we asked and showed us where the laundry was. We've stayed here twice now and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Hotel feels very safe as the property is gated.

Located in Auckland and with Viaduct Harbour reachable within 700 metres, The Hotel Britomart provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, free bikes, free WiFi throughout the property and a... The photos make the rooms seem darker than they really are, particularly those facing the outside. If you prefer more natural light, select the outside (versus lane) facing rooms. The rooms are a bit small, but very well designed, appointed, easy to use, and luxurious for the price. Location is excellent. The seafood restaurant downstairs, kingi, has a great vibe, food, and drinks, as does cafe hanoi, which is next door, but not affiliated with the hotel. We requested adjoining rooms, and got two at the end of the hall with a central door, so felt like a suite (could put our luggage and other items in the shared vestibule). The staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and polite, including reception, concierge, and housekeeping. Service is excellent.

Located on the iconic Quay street, M Social offers accommodation in the heart of Auckland. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. This hotel, I found to be exceptional. Simple in style but a real feel of luxe. Reception foyer was really nice to arrive in. Staff happy to book transport, print out etc for me. Room was beautifully arranged with enough surfaces and lights. Spotlessly clean, incredibly simple in its design, and yet intuitive/easy to function in the room…everything you could want from lighting to movable bathroom wall, lots of natural sunlight, two types of blinds, two different types of mattresses on the bed (so very comfortable that I planned deliberate sleep in both mornings). In-room breakfast of granola… generous portions of fruit. Shower was hot, loved the eco-friendly nature of the place. And of course the location… across the road from the ferries, waterside walks and viaduct eateries etc. Loved the automatic late check out when I made the online booking.

Housed in a 2-storey villa, Hotel Fitzroy curated by Fable is a luxury boutique hotel offering a 24-hour front desk, 24-hour room service and free WiFi. Fantastic staff. Very hospitable and accommodating, especially given we had kids. They provided a cot for our baby and also went out of their way to provide us with late check out as our flight was at night.

Set 300 metres from Oneroa Beach, The Oyster Inn features rooms with free luggage storage. The hotel is just a 35-minute ferry ride from central Auckland. Thank you to Sam and the entire team! From the check in to check out they made everything so easy. The room was absolutely adorable and the beds were very comfy. Ps. Do not skip on the complimentary breakfast, it’s delicious!
