My stay at the Loris Manor has been exceptional. It was storming when we got there. The caretaker Krishna is a gem of a person who tended to everything I needed as I got sick from the sudden change in temperature. There was a cup of hot tea always ready before you as and the breakfast he makes is a 10/10. Initially I booked for 2 nights but with the weather and my fever it was hard to travel, the owner accommodated 2 more nights for me. Krishna also showed me shortcuts to the town and the local market, which was honestly a great plus. You can get most things you need in. 5 min walking distance. Overall, I felt very welcome and safe and this would be my -The place to go- in Nuwara Eliya. Side note- Krishna is a man of many talents. He also taught yoga and is a great chef! Feel free to ask him for yoga sessions and breakfast 😊 The washroom had hot and cold water settings. I also met some lovely people here. My overall stay was nothing but welcoming and good vibes

Even if you don't want to do anything throughout the day, you can just sit at the hotel, enjoy the view and relax. Single tree view point is just 20-25 mins walk from here. The lake and the city center is also just 1.5km from here. The place is run by 2 friends who are a great hosts. If you have time, do spend some time talking with them. For food, you have Pizza Hut, super market and couple of food trucks at 10 min walk. If you are planning to go to Horton's National Park, then the owners can arrange the tuk tuk or taxi(whatever you need). It's better if you start early around 5a.m

We loved it all. It had everything we needed and more. Wonderful food, fantastic hospitality, an amazing house with breathtaking views over farms, tea plantations and mountains. The room had everything we needed including great Wi-Fi. The location was perfect for us being more peaceful than in the town centre, but equally not too far either. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!! We didn’t want to leave and wish we could have stayed longer! P.s the chef is also amazing - we had a great dinner and breakfast made from the most fresh ingredients grown on their farm.
