The Nara Visitor Center and Inn is situated in the heart of Nara, just a 3-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple and Naramachi. The room was huge, a family could comfortably stay for multiple nights (2 double beds and a fold out sofa). There was even a large kitchen for budget travellers. A konbini, 2 washing machines (¥300) and dryers (¥100) even a communal bath in the basement -if you haven’t used one on your trip it gives you an idea. The bathroom was clean and the tub regular size with great hot water. My daughter and I felt very safe here and she really enjoyed making origami with the staff. We used it as a base to explore beautiful Nara prefecture. The Kintetsu station was an easy walk from here. I loved waking up to our view every morning.

Ichimaru Ryokan - Vacation STAY 35990v is located in Tenkawa, in the Dorogawa Onsen district. At the hotel, every room is equipped with a desk and a TV. Our hosts were extremely hospitable. Upon hearing that we were heading to a nearby ryokan, our host offered to drive us over for free (and refused the cash we pulled out of our wallets multiple times). The food was amazing as well!

Situated in Gose, 23 km from Subaru Hall, RITA Gosemachi features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. Overall it is a wonderful experience to stay at RITA. The history of the house, the building, the room, wonderful staff, hospitality and warm welcome and magnificent garden. The breakfast was delicious. The staff recommended very good places for dinner. We absolutely loved the stay.

I loved that it was fairly easy to find and close to Nara’s hot spots finding everything in a walking distance. I really thought it was of great value for what I paid and although the room was smaller than I would like – I spent most my time exploring so I was just happy to come back to a comfortable and cozy place to rest and relax with a hot bath and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself does not provide everything as one-stop service as another, you have to wander around the town to find the things you are looking for (sometime over your expectation). I was so enjoyed staying there and also the time to talk with the locals (but you may need to have some Japanese communication skill, or even you cannot, I am certainly sure that they will somehow communicate with you with their best). You must try Sento, the public available for free to their guest staying there.

Upea rauhallinen keidas juuri aseman vieressä. Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja tilat hyvin siistit. Aito japanilainen tunnelma, jossa yksityiskohdat otettu hyvin huomioon. Onsen kruunasi yöpymisen suomalaiselle sypressin tuoksuinen sauna oli oikein miellyttävä. Huoneeseen tullessa makea tervetulo välipala ja onsenin jälkeen jäätelö. Hotellissa myös maksuton pyykkäys ja kuivaus sekä maukas soba nuudeli iltapala. Wifi toimi hyvin. Iso suositus Narassa vieraileville.

A MUST STAY IF YOU ARE SPENDING THE NIGHT IN NARA. Amazing service, location, food, and amenities. They have e-bike that you can rent. Bikes were a lifesaver after walking 10,000+ steps daily touring other cities in Japan.

Good location (if you have car), they have free parking, the rooms are really space and comfortable. The lake view was very nice, we really enjoyed. There is a veranda, very nice to have a breakfast watching the view. I really liked the sound system in the room, it has many channels with good music :) The bathtub with jacuzzi was amazing, there is a tv in front of the bathtub, for the price was amazing! staffs are friendly, but unfortunately they don’t have a vegan breakfast, besides that, we were very satisfied!

I booked the Super Hotel Premier JR Nara Eki only a few days prior to arrival in Nara and I am so glad I did. I was moving around Japan with a bicycle bag and related gear, so the location and convenience of this hotel was wonderful. The staff were very helpful at every turn and the facilities (e.g. laundry) were great. The breakfast was very good and I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Breakfast was including in our meal the food was amazing, had most things and so fresh! We loved all the facilities onsens, indoor pools and communal facilities. Would recommend it to anyone with children/families wanting to stay somewhere with pools and onsens. The staff at the facility were great and hopeful when ever we had any enquires.

I stayed in the old bulding and had the pleasure to listen to waterfall and frog sounds from the nearby river all night. Very soothing. The place has a great retro atmosphere, clean and nice onsen and great food. On top of that, when I inquired about public buses to Koyasan from near villages, I was told by the receptionist he will take me there the next morning via car. Free of charge. What a service!
