The Nara Visitor Center and Inn is situated in the heart of Nara, just a 3-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple and Naramachi. The best place ever on my trip. You have balcony which overlooks the tower. Great staff, very good english. You have a whole store in the basement. If you ever go to Japan, you have to stay in traditional Japanese room for full immersion.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff recommended very good places for dinner. We absolutely loved the stay.

I really thought it was of great value for what I paid and although the room was smaller than I would like – I spent most my time exploring so I was just happy to come back to a comfortable and cozy place to rest and relax with a hot bath and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The concept of the hotel that merges itself into the community. The hotel itself does not provide everything as one-stop service as another, you have to wander around the town to find the things you are looking for (sometime over your expectation). I was so enjoyed staying there and also the time to talk with the locals (but you may need to have some Japanese communication skill, or even you cannot, I am certainly sure that they will somehow communicate with you with their best). You must try Sento, the public available for free to their guest staying there.
