Rummen har platt-TV.... Spacious and comfortable rooms with nature view, very good breakfast with home-made food. There is a hot tub available with beautiful view to the lake - included in the room price, along the bathrobe. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Definitely best hotel I have stayed in Iceland, highly recommended!!!

I recently stayed at Gistihúsið - Lake Hotel Egilsstadir during a trip to Iceland and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a stunning location overlooking Lake Lagarfljót, and we were lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights during our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us with tips on the best spots to view the Northern Lights and ensuring that we were comfortable throughout our stay. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet was also delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub facility, which was situated outside with stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the area. Overall, I would highly recommend Gistihúsið - Lake Hotel Egilsstadir to anyone visiting the area. The location, staff, amenities, and Northern Lights spotting opportunities are all excellent, and the hot tub is a fantastic added bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. L'occitane schampoo, balsam etc. var väldigt uppskattat!

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. The room was today and clean. Location was just outside of the main town to easy to travel in for food etc. Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and lots of homemade / local items. The staff were very friendly and informative as we were stuck in a storm due to road closures.

Great place, ideally located near the glacier lake. Rooms are simple but with a lot of space and well maintained. A good stop for campers looking for a rest night in a cozy hotel. Restaurant was great!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very cute Icelandic hotel and the staff were super nice.

Hotel Skaftafell har ett fantastiskt läge med imponerande utsikt över Islands högsta berg, Hvannadalshnjukur och Europas största glaciär, Vatnajökull. The milieu of the apartment was beautiful, cozy and there was a lot of space. Very good location - next to the grocery store and harbour. Easily accessible by car.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Breakfast was great and the dining area was even better than photos show. We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel on our long road trip. Staff was helpful and kind as well.
