The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, the place looks impeccable. I loved the fact that the bathroom was spacious and you have bathrobes and slippers + a super good hairdryer (important!). They paid so much attention to details that you even have an umbrella and a hiking bag in the room. Breakfast was super good! We will definitely come back!!

Hotel Landgasthof zum Pflug is a family-run hotel, set 10 km away from Steinen. With a garden, the property also boasts on-site dining. Guests can enjoy mountain views. Superb stay. Friendly family run guesthouse. Beautifully situated, driving through the forest to get here. Beautiful views. Large clean spacious room leading to a large shared terrace that can be partitioned for privacy. Room no.4 had tea, coffee facilities, sofa and table and a large, clean bathroom. No fridge in the bedroom, but water and drinks available from shared fridge in the landing. A lovely touch when holidaying in Germany. Breakfast was delicious with choice of meats, cheese, jams, fresh bread rolls and juice, and their scrambled eggs were the best ever! Beautiful restaurant also for an evening meal. We had the steak, and their grilled meat plate. Homemade fries and more fresh vegetables would have been more appreciated on the plate rather than just shop bought fries. However the meat was perfectly cooked. Dessert was delicious. Great choice of wine available.

This was a great location for us - right at the border of Switzerland and Germany, on the German side (less expensive!). It was in a quiet location, yet close to services such as gas stations, groceries, and restaurants. The room was quiet and comfortable. Good water pressure in the showers, air con worked well, and the breakfast was scrumtious with many home-made and/or local goodies. The hosts were friendly and efficient, knowledgeable about the area, and easy to converse with since they are multi-lingual. We would not hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend this B&B to friends and family.
