Located in Kochel, 8.3 km from Glentleiten Open Air Museum, Danner-Hof provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a spa and wellness centre. Close enough from Kochel train station that we could walk with our large luggages. Patricia was incredibly friendly and helpful in suggesting options for entertainment around the area. The room was very new and clean. Just a very nice country side accommodation with friendly staff. Another plus point was the amazing included breakfast. I'm sure everyone will be spoilt for choice with the options available.

Don't trust the photos. The real object is much more original and beautiful. We were overwhelmed by the design, interior as well as exterior, which integrates the surrounding mountains without a hint of rural kitsch. It's paradise for art lovers, an attraction to excellent conversations with the open-minded owners. If we are what we eat, we become kinder and braver after each breakfast, since we just realize how blessed we are to have entered the gates of this palace, sorry, place.

Featuring a large garden and views of the Bavarian Alps, this traditional hotel is just 1.5 km from the scenic Lake Kochel. Good location, in walking distance from train station and nice restaurants/cafes. The owners are very nice and courteous but no English speaking as far as I could gauge; good breakfast as I am sure others have mentioned.

This historic, 3-star hotel in Murnau offers a spa with great views of the Zugspitze mountain, barrier-free rooms. Lake Staffelsee is a 5-minute drive away. The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the Untermarkt (old main street), a quick walk to everything in Murnau. We were unfortunately visiting because of a family member inpatient at the Unfallklinik, which is also walking distance. The hotel staff are friendly, warm and accommodating of every need or wish. They were understanding of our needs as family of a hospital patient, and flexible with additional parties arriving and booking more rooms on short notice. They also offered a discount for longer term stays. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fitted with furniture that makes it feel more like a personal home or apartment than a generic hotel room. Complimentary mineral water and laundry service added peace of mind, and the sauna, steam room and infrared cabine were comforting at the end of a long stressful day.

This 4-star hotel offers traditional accommodation in the centre of Murnau. It features a homelike restaurant, a traditional Bavarian beer garden and its own in-house brewery. Large, bright, well-presented breakfasting rooms with a wide choice of items. Excellent service from staff. Having stayed at the Griesbräu four times, I've stayed in different rooms in the main hotel and in their additional accommodation directly across the road - all have been excellent. Reception staff efficient and knowledgeable; service in the indoor bar and restaurant and in the large exterior courtyard always prompt and helpful; room service staff excellent; in all the Griesbräu staff are a great team. The location is ideal for travellers and holiday-makers: right in the heart of Murnau and a very short walk to surrounding parks, the lake and its 'steamships', cafes, shops, the museums, art-galleries, restaurants etc. Also a short walk to the rail station which is convenient for those wanting to explore the many other nearby alpine towns, villages and sights. All in all, a first class hotel in a great location.

It lies in the Bavarian town of Kochel. staff was very friendly and gave us great advices on things to do nearby. restaurant was good. the view from the room was absolutely amazing! would recommend.

The hotel Alpenblick is located within a large park of 25.000 m². The architecture of the house is in an alpine style. Really nice location. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Especially the balcony and view on the mountains. I can sit on the balcony entire day
