Even though some of them didn’t speak very good English, they made a lot of effort to communicate with us. And they were very patient with our many requests. They also allowed us to check in earlier and check our later with no additional fees. Truly the best staff. The place looks better in real life than in the photos. It really has a colonial vibe. The AC worked perfectly - probably the best we experienced during our trip to Cabo Verde. We had an amazing view of the city, the sea and the Brava island (room no 9)

The staff especially the owner Toni were so helpful in arranging transfers and organising our stay. The room was very nice and the swimming pool was great. The evening we stayed there coincided with an amazing event celebrating Women of Cape Verde with a banquet, disco and excellent live musicians. Toni helped us plan our walking tour to Alcatraz and Faja which was excellent. The hotel's location is good if you are planning hikes in the area (which is cooler than most of the island) such as around Estancia Roque and along the coast. The paths are well marked. Finally Toni made sure we got back to Sao Filipe ok when the normal aluguers werent't running as it was a holiday. I wish them all the lu ck in the world in making the hotel a success.

Casa Marisa 2.0 se află în Portela și include o grădină, o terasă și un bar. This is a unique experience to stay in the volcanic caldeira on Fogo. The lava is still warm in places. You can stay in the traditional round houses with a roof terrace. The owner is a nice person and very helpful. Dinners and breakfast are good too. At night you can see all the stars.

Txon DFogo Pensão Restaurante se găsește în São Filipe și oferă un bar și un restaurant. Great location. Walking distance to stores. It can get a little noisy if your room is facing the entrance, but it’s not too crazy.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Sao Filipe. the location is great, next to the beach and in the city center. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast very tasty. But most of all the friendly staff will help you out with anything. we rented a car at the reception, they picked us up at the airport for free and helped us out with our next stay in CV. Will definitely cone back here if I have the opportunity!
