Set on the beach in Costa Rica’s Tortuguero National Park, El Icaco Tortuguero offer Caribbean Sea views from the common areas. You can observe the protected Green Turtle laying its eggs nearby. This is a great hotel in a great location--right next to the beach! Of course, you can't swim in the ocean around Tortuguero, but it was still fabulous to have the ocean right there! You can just step outside in the morning and go for a walk. The hotel is next to a tree where the Great Green Macaws flock and hang out. The hotel is also really quiet at night. The staff are also wonderful--friendly, kind, and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The fan works perfectly. I never felt too hot. Showers had hot water. Breakfast was great! For budget travelers, this is a terrific hotel.

La Casona Eco-Lodge Tortuguero features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Tortuguero. The property is non-smoking and is located a few steps from Tortuguero Beach. Initially I was nervous about booking this location because of where is was on Google maps as it looked to be off the main path. The hotel is right besides the Soccer field, and this turned out to be great. We bought a soccer ball from the local hardware store, and my children ended up playing soccer nightly with the local kids. It was a really great experience for all of us. The hotel is clean, very secure at night, and extremely conveniently located for brining your luggage to and from the dock.

Set in Tortuguero and with Tortuguero Beach reachable within a few steps, Carey Lodging offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi throughout the property and a... We reserved half board and the dinner was unique they really took their time with it! It felt magical. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!!!

Located in Tortuguero, 400 metres from Tortuguero Beach, Tuanis Guest House provides air-conditioned rooms and a terrace. Close proximity to everything. Clean, comfortable, and friendly. We took the night to through Tuanis with Bernie and I highly recommend it. We say everything and more. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable, well managed, super helpful staff, close to the dock, beach, National park. Owner and staff have created something special!

Green Macaw Hostel is located in Tortuguero. The property is set 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park. At the economy hotel, the rooms include a patio and a shared kitchen. We had a great time in the Green Macaw. It’s has clean rooms and a nice open area with hammocks. I can highly recommend taking the guided tours with Edil and Arturo who are very knowledgeable about the sea turtles and the jungle.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool, Los Amigos Jungle Hotel is situated in Tortuguero in the Limon Region, Located 50 mtrs behind Liceo barra de Tortuguero. Simple place in the middle of wildlife - at the edge of the jungle and close to the beach. Good breakfast. The tour guides associated with the hotel were great. We had an early morning canoe tour with Bernie.

Cabinas Balcon del Mar Tortuguero is just 100 metres from hiking and fishing at Tortuguero National Park. Free WiFi access is available. The beach is just steps away. Great location. Very close to the beach and national park. Short walk to town. Hammocks to rest in outside. Quiet at night. I could hear the sound of the waves. Ask for a map of the town because at first it’s a little confusing. I think mostly locals stay here. No AC but it wasn’t needed. My room had 3 beds and a fan for each bed. The proprietor used an app to translate his Spanish into English for me. I was very pleased with this place.

Surrounded by an extensive garden and located 200 metres from Tortuguero National Park, Hostal y Cabinas Tortuguero features a terrace with hammocks and free Wi-Fi throughout. Wonderful hotel full of character that gives a real sense of being in the jungle. The room had everything needed and it’s very centrally located. the welcome drink and pack was a really kind touch. Lastly, a special mention for the amazing Nehla. She went above and beyond to help me with moving on to my next destination when I had no Visa card (essential!) or cash. Thanks so, so much. I would have been lost without you!!

Facing the beachfront, El Deseo Serendipity Tortuguero offers 4-star accommodation in Tortuguero and features a garden, terrace and bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with organising all the tours and anything for us. Breakfast was generous. It was nice to be so near the beach to chill.
