First of all, the location is great. The property is in the middle of a nature reserve and all the trails start from the lodge. It gives you a chance to leave early and easily beat the crowds. The staff were all very friendly and really helpful. They were great. The rooms and communal area are tastefully decorated. Rituals soap and shampoo are begin offered. All and all, the lodge has a nice vibe. We liked the fact that the breakfast and dinner were put out for us to eat when we wanted. Each room is allocated a fridge partly for that purpose.

WE love Madeira! We lodged in this place during our 1st stay in 2002. Opossite is a very good fish restaurant. From former stay there is very usefull pavement around Praia Formosa. Nice restaurants with exclent view. The Portuguese are nice people.

Spacious apartment that is very nicely furnished and up to date. The photos are very accurate. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Good pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. The location is excellent. The Lodges are in the heart of the town facing a beautiful park and within easy walking distance to the supermarket and many wonderful restaurants. It was very quiet at night.

The tranquil atmosphere was incredibly rejuvenating, and the exquisite scenery surrounding the property proved to be incredibly refreshing. The house we lodged in was exceptionally cozy, clean, and surprisingly well-equipped. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful during our entire stay.

We will always remember our beautiful holiday in Madeira and our stay at this lovely place. The support we were given by social lodge team was very helpful for people like us, being there for the first time. The apartment was top, we felt very comfortable there, the location within the city is really good and the communication with our hosts via WhatsApp was easy and perfect. Madeira is pretty expensive for lodging, so my satisfaction is based on price of this hotel. It is older and nothing fancy, but location is great and it was clean, so I was happy. Shower pressure was great and I got good sleep as neighbors were pretty quiet. Stuff was friendly. I received excellent instructions prior to my late arrival. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

The Wine Lodges appartment has so spacius and romantic. Great for family or girl trip as the appartment come with a discount in the Brandy port wine store and tour. All the rooms were clean, beds comfertable and close to some of our favorite restaurants. The bathroom a womans dream.
