Arawe is a newly renovated 150-year old nature cottage located around 400m from the centre of Ella.

The cottage stands on a 5-acre land overlooking a rice paddy field and is the only guest accommodation on the property.

The whole experience was really amazing. Before we arrived, we were contacted so that we could be picked up from Ella train station, with clear instructions. We were also running a bit late and could pre-order from their restaurant. When we got there, the whole team of staff were so friendly and kind, helping us with luggage, letting us know what we could do and arranging transport. They work with particular tuk tuk drivers that they feel offer good service and that they trust. The meals were delicious, in particular the breakfasts. The room that we got was spacious and had all the facilities that we needed. There were plenty aircon so we weren't too hot. It is in the middle of nature so there can be some tiny insects about- but we loved that. All in all a really wonderful time and I couldn't recommend enough.

You are completely surrounded by nature and you can hear the river. The breakfast is very good and the owner is extremly kind, he will help you with his tuk tuk for a lower price. I will recommend this acommodation to all of my friends who will come to Sri Lanka💛

With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Three things are outstanding about this accommodation: The accommodation itself, the host, and the location. The rooms are bright and newly furnished. My bed was very comfortable and I had everything I needed (from a hairdryer to a flashlight, everything was there). The terrace is outstanding. You can watch the birds from there. The location is very quiet yet central. The train station is just a few meters away. I enjoyed not being in the middle of the hustle and bustle and being in the center within a 5-minute walk. Last but not least - Angelo is an incredibly attentive host. He was always reachable and took care of all concerns (from 'a kettle would be great' to researching where I could get the best massage in Ella). Thank you, Angelo, it was a fantastic stay!

The excellent service as well as the amazing food, clean and beautiful room and careing personal make this place a location that we would definitely come back to and strongly recommend for everybody m, who wants a nice and quiet place, right outside of Ella.
