The owners, Fiona and Marcus were always at my disposal but never imposing on me. I appreciated the tasty breakfast and I am much obliged for the car ride to the airport, free of charge. PS What really bought me was the statue of three adorable dogs at the entrance. I also travell with my dog, albeit a plush one. We have visited over 70 countries together. And counting...

Our check-in was easy and lovely (we were offered a glass of milk when we arrived) and the room had everything we needed to get settled for the night. Plus, the neighborhood was very walkable - once we parked at the Lodge for the night we just walked into downtown Christchurch and to dinner.

The room is comfortable and has all the basics, including cable TV sports channels which I always appreciate. Conveniently walkable to the rugby stadium with a couple of place to eat along the way. The bed, table, kitchen, and bathroom were all good. I'd definitely stay here again.

The team were very helpful and friendly and the free shuttle to and from the airport was excellent. Will stay here again..

All rooms had kitchenette and living room so it was very comfortable, except for the very weird doors. The way they are situated around the grassed area is great and that you are also able to use all the facilities in the lodge if need be. We got a nice big lodge ( bigger than we were expecting) with a parking space directly outside of the room. Kitchen is well equipped. 20 mins walk to the centre of Christchurch.

It was homely, well equipped and very comfortable and the proprietor went out of her way to make you feel valued. This included a lift to the station on the heavy rain.
