The most stunning place in all of Slovenia.
The most stunning place in all of Slovenia. We had really heard very little about here except that was a ski resort. It is absolutely beautiful with its emerald green river, stunning snow capped mountains and beautiful lake. A real hidden gem.JosephineIreland - 10Scored 10

Incredible nature, though your visit will greatly depend on weather, season, day of the week and the actual time of arrival. most of the trip follows a narrow path along the gorge and river, so the less people the more you get to enjoy nature and not stand in line for the next selfie spot. the way back to the parking lot is quite long and is actually harder than the actual path of the park.nnotsureeIsrael - 10Scored 10

Beautiful! Although it is not far from Lake Bled, we got lost in the middle of our drive there. Our car's navigation system did not work. You should use Google map instead or ask locals before you leave for Vintgar Gorge. Regarding parking, the official site was not updated. There were at least three parking sites available. You should decide which one is best considering which route you take for return. If you want to dive into cold and crisp water at the end of Gorge, bring a swim suite. We took the longest route for return. Although it took longer, we enjoyed it, watching peaceful animals (goats, cows, sheep) and sounds of (cow) bells.OkaUnited States - 10Scored 10

The gorge is an absolute must if your going to bled but just be warned the walk along the gorge is a one way trip along the gorge .the walk back takes longer but you can get a shuttle back it you wish I think it was q0 Eurostar per person. But still absolutely beautiful

Go very early, as soon as it opens, to avoid crowds. Do not arrive by car as it means you have to walk back along the same route (a single file boardwalk) to exit. If you arrive on foot, you can pass through the gorge and out the other side.

The Gorge is beautiful, but they pack the tourists in so tightly. The path along the Gorge is narrow as it is and is two way (tourists going into and in the opposite direction tourists leaving the Gorge). It makes it almost impossible to enjoy one’s time there.VanessaIsrael

Karin, the host was super nice, gave us recos for the aera. Thanks to the friendly host Janez for many helpful tips and being easy to contact. Location is very good, close to Vintgar gorge, other activities and with a bus stop (on the free bus route) nearby.

Close to main road for Spar, but still very quiet on a nice side street. Private parking very handy too. Great to have wifi for booking tickets for excursions such as Vintgar Gorge. Friendly hosts. And we are just 3 or 4 people in one room, which made my trip even more comfortable. Plus, it is really close to Bled lake, the church and the city center so everything was accessible by foot. It is even possible to walk to Vintgar Gorge (45mn walk).

The garden facilities are great (covered table and chairs, bikes). It's a pity we couldn't use them because of rain. 30 min walking distance from Vintgar Gorge (Triglav) or Bled lake; cheaper than going by car (4€/h parking). The door of the flat was open when we arrive. The host was nice and flexible with us to do the check in.
