Valley of the Temples
This ridge outside Agrigento is an archaeological treasure trove and one of the world’s most well-preserved collections of Ancient Greek architecture. In one area, you can wander between the stunning Temple of Concordia—built in the 5th century BC—the ancient Temple of Vulcan, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus that was sacked by the Carthaginians in 406 BC.

It is a charming place, too many people everytime but it is nice to be there, experience the place and enjoy the view. It is also a must to go on the Vaporetto and see the bridge from the Grand canal.

It was very crowded in the off season.
It was very crowded in the off season. I can't even imagine the crowds in the high season. The main canal under the Rialto Bridge is the highway with all goods and services moving through. It isn't the serene paintings that you typically see. Rather it is highly skilled captains and gondoliers that are narrowly passing one another.

No accessible way for handicap people to cross the bridge to get to the other side. Only 4 bridges in the entire place are accessible. I had a very difficult time getting across with my walker. Imagine a person in a wheelchair bound that cannot walk. Also the streets are little blocks that are dangerous when you walk. That's the way things roll in Venice by boat and by walking.

Stay away during crowded hours, and keep an eye out for pickpockets. But be sure to see it, but go early in the morning or in the evening -- it's a centrally important feature to the history and culture of this great city.

Great views but always busy with too many people.
Great views but always busy with too many people. I recommend coming here either in the early morning or early evening (7:30pm onwards). I came here just after 7:30pm - it was mid-May, so still daylight but approaching sunset - and snapped pictures of sunset over Venice. A magical moment.

Beautiful views from this bridge, but the other side of the bridge facing the other way has the best sunset shots I think. More people crowd on the Rialto side, I preferred the view from the other side. On the 'other' side, If you're facing the canal and you go halfway down those bridge steps on the right you'll get the best shot, because the curve of the canal shows more houses that way, and they take on a lovely glow in the sunset light, reflected in the canal.

Really nice and cozy apartment. Equipped with a washer and dryer. Really centric and close to everything in Venice. Like 2 minutes walking distance from Rialto Bridge. Take the Alilaguna water bus from the airport to the Rialto stop and you are right there.
Very close to St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge….and all the other areas of Venice. The apartment was very well equipped to cook our own meals when we wanted to. Very good washing machine and had hanging racks to dry clothes. Maps and info on Venice provided in the apartment. Close to places to buy supplies like milk, wine etc. We had a great time.
It was a pleasant stay, a central yet quiet location, a gorgeous terrace, I used it a little in January because it was cold, in January , elevator good for the 5-th floor . shops in the area, restaurants, a few minutes from the Rialto bridge, max 10 min from San Marco and close to the hotel where check-in is done. from the hotel reception, we were offered to leave our luggage both upon departure and upon arrival, they were offered us an umbrella, because it was raining when we arrived in Venice . Lovely place
travelled to Venice with family and little children. location waas perfect within Rialto bridge and market, it was easy access by walking. the apartment owner Marco was great and quick responding for accomodation. overall great experience
A charming hotel in the San Marco district of Venice with helpful staff and well-priced rooms. You can easily walk to take the water ferry to anywhere you want to go - San Marco square and the Rialto bridge are within a 10 min walk as well as several cafes and eateries. The room has a refrigerator as well a small closet and sizable bathroom. Perfect for a couple for a short stay!
PROS: This is a nice, clean, spacious, 2-bedroom apartment in a lively area of the San Polo “sestiere” of Venice. The beds are very comfortable. Large windows look out to a church offering privacy when open. The apartment is one flight up, off a square only a 20-minute walk to the Central Canal and Rialto Bridge. A request was made for early arrival, and it was granted at no extra cost.
This hotel was a little gem in Venice! It was in a great location half way between St. Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. Lots of restaurants were close by and the bakery that is attached to the hotel was terrific! I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat!
Just a stones throw from the Rialto bridge and a roof-top overlooking the G-Canal and in sight of the bridge. We stayed 2 nights on the outbound and 1 night 3 weeks later on our return to Canada - loved both stays and easy tours arranged by the hotel staff, who were also very friendly. Breakfast is nice but pricey - head out into Venice and find a street cafe! The rooms were modern and well appointed and the beds very comfy - firm.
The location of this property was just perfect for us to get a feel of Venice. We were met off our water taxi and again escorted to our taxi when we left. The terrace was exceptional and the apartment was very roomy and tastefully decorated. Loved having a cocktail on the terrace and watching the buzz on The Rialto Bridge. Left my phone in the water taxi on the way to the airport and they returned it to me in less than a week 👍👍. I would recommend this property for def. Thank you
The location of this apartment is very close to both the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. Cristina, the property manager, was very kind and helpful. I think it is a great amenity to have her meet you when and where you arrive in Venice, and she brings you to the apartment. It takes a lot of the stress off of figuring out where you are going. The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was nice. I liked the fact that they had a dishwasher so you didn't have to wash your own dishes!

Walks over the little bridges, standing on the Rialto Bridge looking across the Grand Canal
It's just so beautiful. Everywhere you turn, so romantic. Walks over the little bridges, standing on the Rialto Bridge looking across the Grand Canal. Seeing and finally sailing in a gondola, which I have always dreamed of. Just simply beautiful.
