It was very expensive for a family of 4 to take the cable up...
It was very expensive for a family of 4 to take the cable up but worth it. Unfortunately we travelled in Aril and the 1 hour walk to view the lake was frozen so we couldn't take in the magical view. Extremely expensive city and I found the people not friendly or helpful. Its a small village with the beautifu feel of nature and mountains but unfortunately I was looking for a Doctor and we had to drive 1 hour to Interlaken for help.

When up the mountain, walk to a lake that is approx 1h , we had 4 young kids and they copped the walk very well. Plan to have a picnic lunch in the lake, kids were very busy looking for frogs close in the lake's edge. Easy access with the gondolas to the top. The cliff walk (free of charge) is an engineering marvel and offers fantastic views. Very nice cafe’ at the top with lovely terrace and good food for a reasonable price. Lots of other activities available if you want to spend additional $.
