Very pet friendly - no problem even at breakfast - our border collie was allowed to sit under the table. Very comfortable bed in spacious room. Lovely quiet village with shop and excellent walks for dogs.

The room was brand new, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the pub and, having French standards, the meal was unexpectedly delicious. So was the breakfast. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. When I arrived too late to eat dinner in their restaurant, they called another restaurant for me and arranged a reservation. They also upgraded my room due to availability without me asking. They were wonderful.

The Crown Hotel ligger i Newton Stewart i pittoreska Wigtownshire, i hjärtat av Dumfries och Galloway. Här finns en restaurang och eleganta rum med originaldetaljer. The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.
