The most wonderful stay ever among all the trips I’ve been through! You wouldn’t be able to imagine how kind and caring they are. I was on honeymoon and searched for the right place. It’s not the season in March in Sicily, but we were provided with a quality breakfast with lovely greets. And the building was amazing too! You have the ancient structure inside your room, which is a unique experience! We also loved hammam, a Turkish Sauna. And the most wonderful part, Celso and his colleague. I’m really grateful to the hospitality. I’d definitely visit this place again if I were given another chance. Thank you so much for everything.

Room was stunning. Location was superb. Breakfast was superb. Stephania the manager was a very lovely and welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble. Despite the exclusivity - only 5 rooms at Bastiò, it was unpretentious and relaxing.

The proximity to the old town and markets. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. The staff Stefania, Corrado and manager Celso were very kind and helpful. There are 5 rooms in this historic building it really is quite an amazing transformation. The typical Sicilian buffet breakfast was all you needed, Celsius made great tea and coffee. The restaurant on the ground floor is an absolute must for typical Sicilian food. We would highly recommend this hotel 🇦🇺

We were impressed with this property located in an old building which was thoroughly renovated to the highest standards. The architectural design of the suites is exquisite and maintained the exposed brick arcades of the previous structure. The amenities are also top notch: large comfortable bed, rain-like shower, jacuzzi and more. The breakfast was also very tasty and the host Celso could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Finally, the location is ideal, right in the middle of Catania close to all important sights, which was very useful given that we visited in a very warm period and could not spend a lot of time walking around. There is also a restaurant on the premises which seems great (Michelin guide) but we didn’t get a chance to try as we wanted to eat in the famous fish market.
