Hartfield House Hostel offers pet-friendly accommodation in Applecross. Free private parking is available on site. The room was bright, modern and spotlessly clean. The cooking facilities are very good and there is a restaurant 15 mins walk away. The grounds are really nice and make for a relaxing break.

On Scotland’s far west coast, The Mission Bunkhouse in Mallaig offers simple hostel accommodation right opposite the train station and seconds from the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal. I had a last minute booking and everything went smoothly. The owner is extremely nice and helpful and makes you feel very welcome. My single room was small but enough space and very clean and comfortable! The bathroom is also kept impeccable.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Rail Station, Inverness Youth Hostel offers free private parking and bicycle storage. Eastgate shopping centre is a 10-minute walk from this hostel. It was a quiet place, everything was clean and the staff was very friendly.
