I stayed in a shared room, and my bed has amazing view for the lake. The place overall is cozy and clean, with good Wi-Fi. The whole area is very beautiful, very green, with a lot or palm trees and blossoming bushes, far from crowds, very calm. The most amazing is a heated pool, and variety of water activities. I’ll definitely come back. And it’s highly recommended for those who value spending time in nature.

We loved this place! The staff were so warm and ready to help with anything and everything! a really good breakfast and nice rooms. it’s a 10min walk out of the main centre so a lot quieter!

This place had exceeded my expectations by farr!! The hostel has super chill vibes and it’s so easy to meet people there. The staff were very helpful too. Definitely one of my favourite hostels in South America

Very nice place. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating. You have a nice little 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house with well equipped kitchen and central sitting area, and a patio with lounge chairs. Or you can hang out up at the restaurant terrace and enjoy the pretty little view. Beds are firm but comfy, the showers aren’t overly hot, but good and clean, and the jacuzzi more than makes up for it. I loved spending mornings and evenings in the jacuzzi. In the mornings you have a chance to see the beautiful Barranquero Andino birds that come to visit. I saw 2:) The included Breakfast was great, many choices, and everything I meal I had to eat here was so delicious. Also some nice and reasonably priced craft beers and other bevies at the bus bar/restaurant. The location is easy to get to and from as it’s on the main road….a 3000 peso jeep ride to the drop off at La Piedra, and a little more to Guatapé or to El Peńol town. Not a very walkable location, the shoulders are tight, best to jeep it. If you decide to stay elsewhere, come at least for breakfast lunch or dinner and have a crepe:) So good!

The place smells clean from the moment you step in, the owners are young, welcoming and very attentive. There is a kitchen/dining area all guests can use. Rooms are as they are pictured, clean. Location is excellent for you to take stroll through the streets.

I don't know why you would stay anywhere else. First of all, the VIEWS of the lake are so amazing. Secondly, one of the best restaurants in the town (Thai Terrace) is upstairs. You get incredible breakfasts too! I nearly cried from joy at all the flavours. Thirdly, the staff are super friendly and happy. Fourth, free coffee and super chill communal areas. And last of all, you can organise all of your activities from here. We went paragliding and kayaking! Stay 3 days minimum if you want to do lots of activities!

Staff are exemplary! Breakfasts are tasty & varied. Large portions. Rooms with a view of the lake are the best! Guatape is a well-deserved visit.
