I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. Beautiful property, well stocked and comfortable as well. Host was very attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we came back! (it was fantastic to have nearby parking that was free, and Ponta Delgada was only a few minutes away. Very easy!)

And the host went above and beyond to make our time here very special. And fresh eggs for breakfast were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the many local tips on places to dine and to get the best views of the southern coast of Sao Miguel. We highly recommend staying here. Great value, excellent conversation and host makes you feel very comfortable.

Situated in Ribeira Grande and within 300 metres of Ponte dos Oito Arcos, Matriz Guest House has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. This property is located a short distance from attractions such as Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Estrelas. Certain units at the property include a terrace with a mountain view. This was the best accomodation of our holidays on the Acores. We felt very comfortable. Everything was clean and we missed nothing. The breakfast was fanatastic and we loved the little details like the selfmade cake and jam. It's located near the centre but very quietly. We could see the ocean from the terrace.

The units have a fully equipped kitchenette with dining area, a microwave and a toaster. A fridge and coffee machine are also provided. This was our favorite stay of our trip and we stayed at 3 different locations. Private, clean and big room with private bathroom and lots of privacy. Secure parking within steps and beautiful authentic hosts. It’s clear the owners take pride in their belongings and hosting, they were available for any and all questions and even showed us items around the house we wanted to know more about. Beautiful eating area with a gorgeous view and even offered us fresh sweet ride pudding and banana bread! We burnt our dinner one evening, and Paulinha offered us part of her own dinner. Central area which allowed us to return to areas around the island we wanted more time at and walking distance to grocery store as well. Don’t miss out on this place!!!
