Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

A Tendinha - Guest House er gististaður í Peso da Régua, 1,1 km frá Douro-safninu og 14 km frá Our Lady of Remedies-helgistaðnum. Boðið er upp á fjallaútsýni. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Quinta da Menina Guest House er staðsett í Vila Real, 35 km frá Douro-safninu, 46 km frá Our Lady of Remedies-helgistaðnum og 8,6 km frá Mateus-höllinni. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

Salgueiral Guest House Douro er staðsett í Peso da Régua, 1,6 km frá Douro-safninu og 16 km frá Our Lady of Remedies-helgistaðnum. Boðið er upp á gistirými með loftkælingu, verönd og ókeypis WiFi. The room is not big, but very warmly decorated! The bed was very comfortable, slept very well! The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use, perfect for cooking your own meals while traveling! The host was very friendly and warm-hearted, and the communication was very pleasant. He also prepared a welcome dessert for us! He really tried to make a sweet home for us!

Casa dos 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, í um 1,3 km fjarlægð frá Douro-safninu. Wonderful guest house with all of the amenities you could ask for. Marco and Joana are friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts. We can't recommend this accommodation more for a long weekend in the Douro Valley, off-street and secure parking was another huge bonus!

Zimão Garden House er staðsett í Vila Real, 30 km frá Natur Waterpark, 31 km frá Golf Course Vidago Palace og 43 km frá Douro Museum. Not enough words to describe this wonderful place. It was so good so after we left , we decided to go back and stay longer. Perfect by all means.

The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Also, the facilities was very comfortable and clean, the view was amazing and the breakfast was always complete. The only thing was that the bathroom water drain could be even smarter. In addition to everything, I recommend the Muas Guest House and their homemade cakes, they were amazing.

Quinta Pedreira dos Anjos er staðsett í Provesende, aðeins 12 km frá Natur-vatnagarðinum, og býður upp á gistirými með fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

Casa do Hospital-Guest House er heimagisting í sögulegri byggingu í Abaças, 7,3 km frá Natur-vatnagarðinum. Boðið er upp á garð og borgarútsýni. EVERYTHING! Carlos and Paula made us feel at home and we had the best night so far in that cute place with a lot of history and charme! We had a wonderful and very fresh breakfast prepared for us in the morning, wonderful conversations with the other guests ( just 4 rooms overall) and loved the dog!

ZN Lodge er staðsett í Vidago, 1,5 km frá Vidago-höllinni og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi. Gististaðurinn státar af sameiginlegu eldhúsi og verönd. A great please and a great location. The rooms are lovely.
