Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Quinta da Menina Guest House is situated in Vila Real, 35 km from Douro Museum, 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and 8.6 km from Mateus Palace. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

Located in Peso da Régua, 1.6 km from Douro Museum and 16 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Salgueiral Guest House Douro provides air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. I stayed in many places. I have never met expensive coffee machines, sound bars with subwoofers, and collectible vintage radios for guests. All kitchenware matches by color. Complimentary cake, fruits and Porto vine are offered. Places and where to eat recommendations are printed. The host is amazing. Everything is made with love.

Featuring mountain views, Casa dos 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro features accommodation with patio, around 1.3 km from Douro Museum. A fabulous, enormous, shared terrace we could use to sit out and watch the moon rise - as well as a comfortable balcony in our room. And there was a Port establishment 3 minutes' walk away

Zimão Garden House is located in Vila Real, 30 km from Natur Waterpark, 31 km from Golf Course Vidago Palace, and 43 km from Douro Museum. Not enough words to describe this wonderful place. It was so good so after we left , we decided to go back and stay longer. Perfect by all means.

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a bar and views of the pool, Muas Guest House is set in Vila Real and offers accommodation with free WiFi. Wow. Absolutely wow. We can't even imagine the great experience we had at this place. We arrive after several days at the Douro valley, and by far - this place was the best we chose and stayed in. From the great hospitality of the host, to the facilities (Jacuzzi, Balcony, Breakfast and what not). Do yourself a favour and go there, believe us.

Situated in Provesende and only 12 km from Natur Waterpark, Quinta Pedreira dos Anjos features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. WOW!!! The views from the room and vinyards are incredible. It felt unreal. The hosts are just the nicest people and very kind, and despite the fact that they almost only speak portuguese, we were able to communicate. Homemade breakfast on the balcony with beautiful views was way above expectation. We had the chance to do wine/porto tasting, and had complimentary wine/porto/fruits from the place itself during the stay. Our family just loved the experience. Best rental experience ever! Highly recommend!!!

Featuring a garden and views of city, Casa do Hospital-Guest House is a homestay situated in a historic building in Abaças, 7.3 km from Natur Waterpark. EVERYTHING! Carlos and Paula made us feel at home and we had the best night so far in that cute place with a lot of history and charme! We had a wonderful and very fresh breakfast prepared for us in the morning, wonderful conversations with the other guests ( just 4 rooms overall) and loved the dog!

Situated within 1.5 km of Golf Course Vidago Palace and 22 km of Chaves Thermal Spa, ZN Lodge features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vidago. A great please and a great location. The rooms are lovely.
