When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

Beautiful location. Very clean and comfortable. Owner did his best to provide with all the necessary info and support. Free Disney+ and Amazon Prime to watch in the launge!

オーシャンビューゲストハウス Eat & Stay ROMEY มีทำเลที่ตั้งอยู่ในชิซุโอกะ ห่างจาก Rengejiike Park Fuji Festival 12 กม.มีบริการที่พักพร้อมสวน ที่จอดรถส่วนตัวฟรี ลานระเบียง และห้องอาหาร ที่พักอยู่ห่างจากสนามกีฬา... Wow! Amazingly friendly hosts, beautiful location, yoga mats, a hammock, a bicycle to use, clean rooms, and all round wonderful experience. Oceanside views The hosts took me to a wonderful dinner (probably the best one I've had so far in Japan) and taught me how to write haikus. They explained lots of nuisances and generally gave off the best vibes a traveller could ask for. I'm very grateful for their hospitality and kindness, if I ever return to Japan I will 100% be staying here again.

Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 เป็นที่พัก 2 ดาวในฮิกาชิอิซุ ซึ่งหันหน้าไปทางริมชายหาดและให้บริการสวน เลานจ์ส่วนกลาง และลานระเบียง เรียวกังนี้มีบริการพื้นที่ชายหาดส่วนตัว... Wonderfully charming room and guesthouse, in an excellent location. Close to forest walks and an un-missable seaside on-sen, with friendly and helpful hosts. If we are ever in Izu Hokkawa again, we will be sure to stay here!

Beautiful dormitory, wide living area, an Onsen 2 minutes from the hostel and great breakfast. Host super kind, we were late for check in but he arranged a solution so everything went smoothly The location is brilliant. Super family friendly

Guesthouse SORA อยู่ในมินามิอิซุ ห่างจากหาด Yumigahama Beach 500 ม. มอบบริการที่พักพร้อมสวน ที่จอดรถส่วนตัวฟรี และเลานจ์ส่วนกลาง ที่พักนี้มีทำเลที่ตั้งอยู่ห่างจากแหลมคู่รัก 42 กม. Everything was so neat and tidy. The owner was so kind and everyone staying was so friendly.

Kisami Ohama beach is just a 3-minute walk from, Oli Oli Guesthouse in Shimoda featuring a terrace and bar. The property is located 7 km from Shirahama Ohama Beach. Location is prime. Such a close walk to the beach and other coves for snorkeling. Outdoor shower to wash off the sand. Food at the cafe was so convenient and delicious after spending the day at the beach. Private bathroom in the room.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, JOYinn is located in Izu Kogen. There is a free shuttle pick-up and drop-off service available for guests from Izu-Kogen Station. Excellent place with amazing service! Apart from 1)the glorious ocean view(the host upgraded our room into one with ocean view) 2)free pick up from nearby places, which many comments have already mentioned, what I really appreciated is that the host was really trying to make our stay more pleasant. There was no toothbrush cup when we first got there, and my friend left her toothbrush on the table when we went out. When we went back she found her toothbrush put in a lovely small toothbrush cup. That was so sweet! The place itself was very nice as well, the weather was pretty good during our stay and we saw many stars at night, perfect place for getting away from the cities and enjoying nature.

The owner showed us through every room and gave us tips for the local area when we checked in. His tips saved us about 6,000 yen in parking and transportation fees. He had about every amenity I could think of and even personally put our dirty laundry (we had been on the road for days) in the laundry machine for us. It was a user-friendly experience. I live in Japan and travel a lot domestically. This is probably the best value you will get out of a stay in a city or the countryside in Japan.
